The sensor ITH Type MC4 is a TMC sensor which measures the direction of the magnets of a magnetic compass to obtain the heading information, and is in most cases mounted underneath the magnetic compass by use of a special bracket.
Included in the standard delivery with this sensor is 2 meter special cable attached to the sensor and a watertight connector already connected to the cable. The cable with screen on all 6 leads is specifically manufactured for I.T. Holland.
Standard delivery of this sensor is without a sensor connection cable of 10m, 15m or 20m which must be ordered separately.

The MC4 is used in combination with the following systems :
- ITH Type 11A-MC
- ITH Type 6MC
- ITH Type 9MC
- off-course alarm ITH Type CA1.
