The sensor ITH Type MC2 is a sensor which measures the earths magnetic field for heading information.
To keep deviations, caused by the ships magnetic fields, to a minimum, the sensor must be mounted 1,5 to 2 meter away from steel, preferably in the ships centerline between bow and stern.
To mount the sensor a special mountingbracket is needed.
Standard delivery of this sensor is without a sensor connection cable of 10m, 15m or 20m which must be ordered separately.
The cable is a special manufactured cable with screen on all 6 wires. If a more length is needed this cable must be used.
This sensor is applied with the repeaters ITH Type 8, ITH Type 9 and ITH Type 11A.
